whenpigsfly Posted March 16, 2013 Report Posted March 16, 2013 Bid up slowly in 5 $ increments. At $60 a $75 counteroffer which I ignored and rebid $65looks like a decent property for a quick one night stay

whenpigsfly Posted March 17, 2013 Author Report Posted March 17, 2013 I should add that I had bid 4* up to $79 before backing down to 3.5 PRICELINE said the average retail was $200/night for a 4* so I thought it would take a bid closer to $100 than I was willing to go. Should I take the retail pricing number as any indication of what it will take for a winning bid or is that number just a marketing atemot to get you to bid higher?
yellowdog Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 No, you should not "calculate" your bidding on the suggested price. The price pressented is sometimes very far from the reality. Please read this link: Priceline Suggests Price to PayYellowdog.
