Canmore is only about 20-25 min. from Banff and can be much cheaper.I just realized that I omitted to post a hotel from last December (2004): Canmore 3*Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Business, Laundry= Radisson Hotel$61 for Dec. 28-29, 2004 booked on Dec. 21, 2004 for a last-minute hoiday ski trip.
