We stayed here 27th to 29th July on a Priceline bid of $91 per night. The Westin is nicely situated a few yards from the Metro station to the airport, Busch stadium is one block, the business district and downtown are 200 yards west and north respectively, so there is no need to rent a car. The hotel is a converted wharehouse building, which has been very nicely done. Inside the decor is in the modern minimalist style. It has been done most tasefully and the overall effect is closer to a smart New York boutique hotel than a chain property.

Checkin was handled smoothly and we were soon in our room. The styling had been continued in the room, which was beautifully decorated in black and white with blonde wood and some exposed brickwork. It was larger than average and clinically clean. I would be proud to have this as a guestroom in my own home!

Lovely though it was the room was outshone by the bathroom, which was enormous! Tub and separate shower, long marble counter with his and hers sinks, and again all finished very stylishly.

This is one of the few 4* properties where I would pay the rack rate to stay. $91 is a lot to bid in this city, where the Hyatt and Renaissance regularly go for $55 to $75, but with almost limitless rebids available I would lowball first and then edge up hoping to get lucky.
