Maybe I should just do the following (BTw, do I get free rebid for 2*?):Could you recommend a strategy? thanks!
thereuare Posted August 31, 2005 Report Posted August 31, 2005 Welcome to BetterBidding! You may not like the class of hotel that you can get for $160/nite.Would you consider staying in NJ and commuting to NYC or raising your limit to $200 and booking the Beekman Tower? gilmanpt Posted August 31, 2005 Author Report Posted August 31, 2005 Hi, thanks again for the reply and advice!Question - is it really just a busy week? I remember I was there on 9/23 last year, I got into MTW-Hilton for $140. Beginner's luck?Given I'm traveling with three other guys, you'd be surprised what we could endure (but we are just cheap :)basically, last month, we stayed at the comfort inn for $140+tax/night... and I thought i surprise my colleagues by giving them more for their money.Could you kindly help me with a $160 2* strategy? Thanks much!Andy
thereuare Posted August 31, 2005 Report Posted August 31, 2005 One room for the four of you in NYC? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
gilmanpt Posted August 31, 2005 Author Report Posted August 31, 2005 actually three full grown male adults :) into two rooms. so one of the rooms must have two beds :)BTW, does the number of rooms affect the price? (ie "volume discount")lastly, I am still baffled about the high prices (sorry), is that a special weekend, or just the way it is??thanks.
thereuare Posted August 31, 2005 Report Posted August 31, 2005 so one of the rooms must have two beds You can not guarantee this thru Priceline. It's a busy weekend and a busy time of year... there are usually mutiple things happening at once in the city so i'm not sure exactly what is the case with these dates, but many users have noticed very high rates from mid to late September.
