Priceline Hotel: Singapore 2* hotels ID possible?

There is 2* bidding for Zone 2 City Hall - Marina Bay (suggested $85)

& Zone 6 Riverside (suggested $105); is it possible to isolate names

of properties via Hotline? Thanks in advance!

While you might get some general ideas, it really isn't possible. Hotwire and Priceline can have completely different hotels, the zone boundaries can be different, and the star ratings can be different.

You can get a slightly better idea with the 2*s on the retail side of Priceline since at least the star rating is the same. There still are differences in zones and differences in pools of hotels.

The best bet is prior reports from members in the hotel lists at the top of this Other Countries area. I haven't looked, but I suspect Singapore unfortunately just isn't that well reported. And even when there is a perfectly good list, it is still possible to get an as-yet-unreported hotel.

If HOTWIRE what are the amenities associated with each property?

If PRICELINE, where are you seeing on the prices shown... is that the 'suggested retail price' of a hotel of that star level OR are you looking PRICELINE EXPRESS deals where rates are shown?

Yes, PRICELINE, sorry. $85 & $105 were pre-bid suggested prices.

Was hoping the amounts might point to specific properties.

2* is risky, but sometimes clean, quiet, safe, adequate.

Any veteran guesses appreciated by this newbie!

What are the date(s) of your stay?

Anything we guess in at this star level would be just that, a guess, so still fairly risky even if you think any hotels guessed would be adequate.

Have you checked HOTWIRE and/or express.deals as there you can at least see some reviews and user feedback which can make purchasing a lower rated hotel a bit more comfortable. You could also try MAPS and HOTELS.com to see if there are any retail rates that are attractive for a 'known' hotel.

Dates are 1/31/13 to 2/6/13. Educated guesses appreciated!

I don't have any insight as to the 2* properties offered in this region, but do note that there is no 2* bidding offered in the City Hall-Marina Bay zone, so this wouldn't be a possible outcome at the 2* level (unless your 2* bid is upgraded to a higher rated hotel)
