Hi. I am looking for help in bidding for a hotel in Brussels for the following date

Brussels - Check in on Sept 13/05, check out Sept 14/05

I'm hoping to spend under $100 and want to get city centre rather than the airport. Is this feasible this time of the year? What is a likely rate for a 3 or 4 *? Any help is appreciated.

Although this is a busy time for Brussels (all the bureaucrats are returning for summer holidays), Brussels always has had good deals on Priceline. So I'd suggest starting with $50 or $55 for 4* and going up $5 every 72 hours (as there are no free rebid zones if you want to stay in city center).

The highest bids reported for Brussels are in the $75-80 range, but usually it's possible to get a room for $55-70.

Haven't seen any reports on 3* bids in Brussels, would be interesting if you tried. I'd suggest keeping your bid for 3* about $10 lower than for 4*.

Wow! That's unseen for Brussels.

You could go up to $90-100, but then (taking into account tax) you are approaching the prices of non-opaque bookings - check www.hrs.de, there are a couple decent hotels in the EUR 90-110 range (including breakfast).
