sdf123456 Posted August 14, 2005 Report Posted August 14, 2005 Won a bid at $80 for 4* Marriott Copley Place (Aug 18 - Aug 20, 2 rooms). I tried a couple of prices below $80 (incl. the downtown area), but in vain. I see that most of the winning bids for the Copley area is for this hotel and at $80. I had even tried $79 which didn't work.HELP: I would appreciate comments on this hotel as well as the Copley area. I am visiting Boston for the first time. Any touristy info would be greatly appreciated. I am thinking of parking my car in the Boston Common garage and then using my feet and public transit to visit the attractions in Copley and downtown. Let me know if that is a good idea.NOTE: One thing to note is the rating of this hotel. Priceline calls this a 4* hotel, while on the hotel website it shows a 3 diamonds rating by AAA. Other travel websites (e.g. Expedia.com, Travelocity.com, Hotels.com) say this is a 3* hotel!!! $80 for a 3* is a rip-off and priceline appears to be cheating its customers. All comments are very welcome. Thanks betterbidding.com :)
