rdg Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 Trying for one night on Sept 16th. Went from $31 to $35 with no luck. Will try again in a few days.
rdg Posted August 24, 2005 Author Report Posted August 24, 2005 Tried again from $34 to $38 with no luck. I still have a couple of weeks.
Blueskies Posted August 24, 2005 Report Posted August 24, 2005 If you look at the hotels list (or use maps) the Wingate is the 2.5 star hotel (Amerisuites was won back in 2003) and if you go to their website for some reason the hotel does not bookable direct either. Message reads---Dates for this property are not available on our system at this time. You could call or email them to see why it is not bookable. Alternatively you could go down a half star or up to 3* You may have more luck with these options if you don't want to call Wingate.
thereuare Posted August 25, 2005 Report Posted August 25, 2005 The 3* properties in this zone are usually pretty cheap and represent a good value. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
rdg Posted August 26, 2005 Author Report Posted August 26, 2005 Thanks for the suggestions. As I mentioned on another post, I won the Hyatt as a 3* for the following weekend (doing a cruise so need both weekends for one night each). I was looking at 2 1/2*, but am perfectly willing to go up in category for the small change in price. Will post when I finally score something.
