Heide Szeto Posted September 6, 2012 Report Posted September 6, 2012 Out of curiosity, my brother is planning to visit Orlando next year on January 12-18. He wants to do a package with Walt Disneyworld that would include their Walt Disney Pop Star resort with a 4 day park ticket for $320 per person for 4 people (he was in the military so he can get a 4 day park ticket for $160). Would it be more worth it to go that route or to bid on hotels and get park tickets separately? It looks like the average winning bid for a 4 star hotel around Disneyworld is about $100.
Heide Szeto Posted September 6, 2012 Author Report Posted September 6, 2012 Actually, I think I may just stay with my brother at the pop star resort 1/12-1/16 then leave to check into another hotel near Sea World for 1/16-1/18. I would like to bid on a 4 star hotel. It looks like the available hotels are:Hilton OrlandoJW Marriott Grande Lakes PeabodyRenaissance Orlando ResortRosen Shingle CreekWestin Imagine Any advice on when I should start bidding for those dates, what I should start at, and any specific method? Thank you guys!
Heide Szeto Posted September 6, 2012 Author Report Posted September 6, 2012 Sorry for the multiple replies, but 3.5 star properties look acceptable to me too :)

thereuare Posted September 7, 2012 Report Posted September 7, 2012 Which zone(s) is it that you are willing to bid? Did you want to try for a 4* first up to your maximum bid and then if rejected try for a 3.5* property OR is your goal the least expensive 3.5* or better for this trip? Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. Heide Szeto Posted September 7, 2012 Author Report Posted September 7, 2012 I would like to bid on the Seaworld zone and would like to start at 4*. My goal is for a 4* but if have to, am willing to settle for a 3.5 star. My bidding would be for either for 1/16-1/18 or 1/17-1/18. Is it too early to start bidding for January dates?

Heide Szeto Posted September 17, 2012 Author Report Posted September 17, 2012 My dates for bidding are flexible since I'll already be in Florida. I'm thinking it would be most convenient to bid for something on the 17th since I'll be leaving Florida on the 18th. Thanks for the help :)

Heide Szeto Posted July 26, 2015 Author Report Posted July 26, 2015 Long overdue response but I ended up not being able to get a NYOP at the amount I was looking for and stayed in Orlando Florida with my brother at the Pop Resort.
