JDK12 Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 There is a 3* hotel in Sonoma for $101 for a stay on 8/7-8/8. My suspicion is that it is the Best Western Plus Sonoma Valley Inn & Krug Event Center even though this is a 2.5* on other sites. If so I think I could get a better deal bidding through Priceline or bid more for a 3.5-4 star and try for the Four Sisters property. Any help would be most appreciated. The hotel has the following amenities:Fitness Center Pool(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Free Parking Free Breakfast Free Internet Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower Thanks,Joe
thereuare Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 Welcome to BetterBidding!Yes, my best guess for the 3* above on HOTWIRE would be the Best Western Plus Sonoma Valley Inn and Krug Event Center. If you're looking to give PRICELINE bidding a try, which zone(s) are you willing to accept and what is your maximum bid for this stay? Also, are you willing to pay more for a 4* vs. a 3.5* OR is your goal the least expensive 3.5* or better for this trip?Let us know the above and we'll advise accordingly. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. JDK12 Posted July 25, 2012 Author Report Posted July 25, 2012 Would really prefer to be right in Sonoma. I am willing to pay more for a 3.5-4 star, but not substantially since I would be happy with the Best Western. Tried to bid last night using the link at 75 dollars for a 2.5 star, to no avail. Also had tried to bid for both 3.5 and 4 star in Sonoma with bid up to $130 and was unsuccessful. Will plan to try for 3.5-4 star again tonight and then if I do not get this for 150 I will try again for 3 star at 80 dollars.

JDK12 Posted July 28, 2012 Author Report Posted July 28, 2012 I was rather limited since I wanted to stay right in Sonoma. Got up to $140 for a 3.5/4 star with no success. Also got up to $85 for a 2.5 star (Best Western), but was denied. Ended up trying the site Agoda which is a Priceline subsidiary. Need a night on 8/4 near the airport so will use your link for my PRICELINE bid. Thanks for the help.
