Priceline Hotel: Failed 3* Seattle Downtown 9/1 - 9/3

Does anyone has any luck with 3* Downtown Seattle for the period of 1 Sep to 3 Sep 05?

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Failed bid after i tried the following (adding $5-$6 each time):

1) Downtown seattle, $55

2) Free rebid Lake Union, $60

3) Free rebid U of Washington, $65

4) Free rebid Lynnwood/Edmonds, $71

Did not want to go higher than $70+ cos it would add up to close to $100, plus taxes and service charges.

You'll either need to:

1) wait it out

2) lower your star quality

3) increase you maximum bid

If you already bid up to your limit and you're not willing to bid any higher, i'm not sure what type of advice you are seeking.

Those are tough dates, because of the Bumbershoot Festival and Labor Day weekend.

My personal opinion is that the 2.5* options are good, so I would try those. I would even try the 2* options. But it's up to you, after you research these possibilities, of course.

Or consider Bellevue if you will have a car.

As a point of clarification - I had earlier stopped at a bid of $70+ because I just wanted to be a bit more conservative, as a start, and do not want to end up as seemingly overbidding.

Given that these are very tough dates (wasn't aware of the Bumbershoot Festival), I am now more willing to increase my bid for a 3* and maybe even considering lowering the star rating to 2.5*/2* eventually.
