3* Buffalo (Airport BUF)

Millennium Airport Hotel Buffalo,

$41

05/09/2012-05/10/2012

Used PRICELINE link saving approximately 60%.

(Started the bid at $30 at Niagara Falls,

added East Niagara and upped bid to $40,

Started over, dropping the Niagara zones, chose Buffalo Airport (BUF) and upped bid to $41,

won the bid.)

Some of the reviews of this hotel are freaking me out. Will report back after the stay!

...saving approximately 60%.

Keep in mind that many of the reviews are from those who paid full price, and often times when you pay more... you also expect more. I've had a few PRICELINE stays where my impression of the property was quite favorable and it was a great deal considering the price paid, but if i had paid full price my impression/review would have been much less favorable. When i'm paying a very low rate i can usually overlook/tolerate a lot more than if i'm paying full price.

While i know the reviews of this property are a bit mixed, for $41 and a brief one nite stay, hopefully it will suit your needs and you'll find it to be a good value.

Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board.

Similar to other's experience, I found the Millennium Airport Hotel to be satisfactory for a one night stay. Staff were very courteous, and I received a room on the 4th floor. As others have noted, the hotel rooms are a bit run down and the hotel itself is in need of a large-scale renovation (furniture, carpet, everything). The beds and sheets are also in need of upgrading. Free Wi-fi and parking are excellent. It didn't even compare to a Best Western or holiday Inn Express level of quality in the room and even the hallways and pool. I would suggest that the star rating for this hotel be 2 or 2.5 but should not be a 3.

(I didn't swim, but I did walk through the pool area - I'm fairly certain this was the backdrop for the movie "Beaver Falls.")

I did not try the restaurants, but with the Walden Galleria right next to the hotel, it was unnecessary: There are plenty of nice places in the Galleria to eat at (Five Guys for a burger - phenomenal.) There is also a nice little pub at the mall entrance that leads back towards the hotel that you can wind down with a drink before heading back to the hotel. The best thing about this hotel is that is within walking distance of the mall.

I'm glad I got to experience the hotel - thereuare is right, for the amount paid, it's not a bad deal by any means. But if you're "expecting" 3* upscale, I would say to lower your expectations.
