The price of the car rental isn't too bad, it's the taxes that will kill you. Hertz' own website quoted $210.25 CDN all in, and using an exchange rate of 1.2100, it works out to about $173-174 USD. I've always hated renting cars at YVR. Bad enough you have sales taxes totalling 14% (7% each for national and provincial sales taxes), plus a 14% concession recovery fee, and daily licensing fees, etc. Proud to be Canadian!
