I saw that someone recently booked mgm grand on priceline but I'm too chicken to do priceline. I checked the hotwire list for MGM grand and it has a lot of the same amenities as mandalay bay and a few others. Is there a good way to make sure I'm snagging mgm and not one of the other properties? I'm going to be staying 5/1 - 5/2

In many instances, properties in an area can show with the same amenities. In these cases, if there is a trip advisor rating showing on the detail page, that can help in some cases to narrow down the possibilities, although the trip advisor ratings aren't updated live so that is not a guarantee and additionally, all of the potential properties may have the same tripadvisor rating.

If you would like us to try to confirm a listing, please provide the complete list of amenities showing with the listing, price per night, date/s of travel and star rating (and zone.)

Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

Okay, it's Vegas Strip South , Dates 5-1-12 - 5-2-12 It's 4* $48/night tripadvisor rates 4.5 with 500+ reviews

The amenities are - resort, casino, fitness center, pool, restaurant, business center, golf nearby

The property above is a match for the Tropicana so that would be my best guess for this one.

If you're only interested in the MGM Grand and need to book direct, please note from our Support Page that we are an affiliate and please use our MGM Grand link to begin any purchase(s) you make, should you not move forward with PRICELINE or HOTWIRE.

Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.

Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases

Its probably the Trop, especially at that price. Ask for a room in the Paradise Tower, from there you can access the MGM Casino(via the escalator next to the Trop Sportsbook then across the bridge) about as quickly as a MGM West Wing room

btw- The Trop is very nice now after the renovation

I would add that I personally would prefer the Tropicana to the MGM, and I would also point out that the Paradise tower of the Trop is actually closer (meaning, a shorter walk) to the MGM's casino than most of the rooms in the MGM itself are to their Casino.
