Hotwire Hotel: 4* San Diego (Gaslamp Quarter South - Convention Center) Hotel Indigo

Hi there,

I am very excited to finally be a member of this amazing website. Well, thanks for having me! I am looking at Gaslight North and South: 4/8-4/10. I want to be as close as possible to downtown, bars, central stuff, but I don't know San Diego. I narrowed my search down to Gaslight areas. Can you help me identify these hotels? I don't want to get stuck with a cruddy place next to the airport and far from downtown (so I eliminated Harbor Island). Well, thanks in advance!! I'd like to spend under $100.

I think I will go for Gaslamp South! To be near the water and downtown seems awesome, but I've booked hotels on Priceline (not Hotwire before) and really screwed up. So, if you can decipher the clues, I'd appreciate it!

I had a good suspicion the Gaslight South was Hotel Indigo based on a previous post here... and it was! I booked it, and I am really happy. Three nights for $308 (that's after tax/$89 per night), 4/8-4/11. Thanks for a great forum. And beware, I think, booking via Priceline because the zone is so big for San Diego. Hotwire seems best in this rare instance.
