AaronJB Posted March 31, 2012 Report Posted March 31, 2012 Congrats on your success. :)Superb deal for this MTE property! Glad you are pleased with the result and are looking forward to your stay.Thank you for sharing your win and using the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
thereuare Posted March 31, 2012 Report Posted March 31, 2012 I'll also add you're also near my often recommended Ess-A-Bagel (Third Ave at 51st St) which has one of the best bagels in the city, makes for a nice, and relatively inexpensive, breakfast among local NYers. As well (in the other direction) if your kids like hamburgers (and have BIG appetites) Jackson Hole on Third Ave (at 35th St) has one of the best in the city, they're monster sized listed as 7oz. but they're certainly larger than that!Have a great trip! Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases

spanishjam Posted April 1, 2012 Author Report Posted April 1, 2012 My 15 year old son often tells me his favorite food in the whole world are bugers!!!! Thanx for the tip! Oh yes, and I do love a good bagel.Any other recommendations on good resturants in china town and little Italy would be appreciated.
spanishjam Posted April 1, 2012 Author Report Posted April 1, 2012 WOW this is an amazing deal for this time of the year.Congrats and enjoy your stay.It really is an incredible deal. Can not argue with the Location, location location. Of course parking is the only downside with this hotel as I hear they charge an arm and a leg.
dahammer Posted April 2, 2012 Report Posted April 2, 2012 My 15 year old son often tells me his favorite food in the whole world are bugers!!!! Thanx for the tip! Oh yes, and I do love a good bagel.Any other recommendations on good resturants in china town and little Italy would be appreciated. It has been awhile, but a few years ago I had dim sum at the Triple 8 Palace at 88 Broadway. This is a huge restaurant and servers push carts laden with a variety of dim sum, you see something you like, get it and the server marks your check, at the end of the meal, the waiter tallies up all your plates and presents a bill. As for a little Italy, you could always stop at Lombardi's which is supposed to be the first pizzeria in the US. Good to say you've been there, but there is better pie elsewhere. Near Macy's and Herald Square is Koreatown, and you could have Korean BBQ. You can cook your dinner on a gas or charcoal grill in the middle of your table. I will also second thereuare's recommendation for Jackson Hole, great burgers. As for parking, you can go online and see if there are any lots nearby that have cheaper parking. Edison operates many lots and parking decks in NYC and they have a good website, just make sure the lot offers 24 hour parking. The only downside to using an offsite lot is you don't have in and out privileges like at a hotel.
