vanpoodle Posted March 2, 2012 Report Posted March 2, 2012 I guess the good news is that it is cheaper than your last Mayfair bid, but alas, the Holiday Inn and not the Le Meridien. Hopefully you're at the Holiday Inn first then staying at Le Meridien later because it sure would be hard to go from le Meridien to the Holiday Inn!
swiftSF Posted March 4, 2012 Author Report Posted March 4, 2012 True, Holiday Inn is not as fancy as Le Meridien (and the bedlinen were fantastic), however, Holiday Inn have some advantages (at least for me):Le Meridien has VERY expensive internet connection ($25 a day), and the quality is not good. In the room, the Wifi was so weak, I could not browse on my smartphone while in bed, and had to stand by the door to get it to connect. I ended up only being able to use the wired connection. The Holiday Inn on the other hand had strong and reliable singnal for only $16 a day (when purchasing 3 days). In Le Meridien all Priceline guests receive (so it seems), the rooms facing the interior courtyard - so less light, and little view of the sky from the room. The Holiday Inn's view, though not amazing, was nicer and more open.Personally, it was helpful for me to be in the Holiday Inn right by Green Park station with the Jubilee line, as more of my destinations were served by that line.
