web60_2000 Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 I'm looking for reservations for Labor Day weekend, but it just so happens I'm looking for reservations so we can go to the Michigan game at the Big House on Sept 3rd. I've never been here. My husband is a HUGE wolverine fan and has been is whole life, but has never been to a game. This is to be his birthday surprise. I have reservations at Four Points by Sheraton for the Notre Dame game, but unfortunately I can't find any tickets unless I want to pay $500 for 2! Anyone have tickets they want to sell or trade?? I bought tickets to both the Eastern Michigan game Sept. 17th and the Indiana game November 12th, but it looks like we won't make it to either of those. If not, someone please just help us with reservations somewhere nice! Thanks for any and all help I can get!Becky
thereuare Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 A good birthday present, if i don't say so myself! :) If you want to stay within proximity to the campus/stadium these are the hotels to check (in preferencial order):Campus Inn (the team stays here, probably sold-out for your dates already)Bell TowerMichigan LeagueAfter that, the area out by Briarwood Mall would be your best bet... there is (at least used to be) a Courtyard, Hampton Inn, Residence Inn. This would be a looong, but do-able, walk to the Stadium... but you could take a bus halfway and walk the rest, along with the 100,000+ other people going to the game. After that, and where most of the Priceline hotels are located, is up near North Campus and another road which i forget the name of, but it's less than ideal for a game.Unfortunately you're probably a bit late for a football saturday in Ann Arbor, but i'd try the above three first and then let us know what you find and we'll advise further from there.GO BLUE! Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
dahammer Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 Even though I am a Penn State fan, I still feel compelled to offer assistance :) Besides, I think thereuare is a Michagan fan, right ?? :) I recently bought Phillies tix on Ebay, my first and second winning auction. I know that you will find an auction for Michigan tickets, bid with your head, not over it, and make sure the seller has great feedback.
