Hotwire Hotel: 4* DC (White House - Downtown) Hilton Capital Hill

Hello, do any of the hotels in Washington dc on Priceline or Hotwire have an indoor pool? I was checking out a hotel for 2/18 to 2/21 in downtown dc or DuPont circle. I am traveling with my 8 year old daughter. Any suggestions about parking in this area. I don't want to save on hotel then have to pay $35 a day for parking. We plan on doing smithosians..white house and spy museum on the weekend and mt Vernon on presidents day. Thanks for any input

Yes, there are hotels in DC that have indoor pools and free parking, but you cannot bid for a specific hotel with PRICELINE. Your may want to consider HOTWIRE where it is possible to identify a hotel by matching the amenities with those posted on the HOTWIRE hotel list. Once you ID the hotel, check and see if they have an indoor pool. That said, there are no guarantees! You may also want to consider conducting a conventional search for a hotel near a metro stop in a suburban area like Chevy Chase or Arlington so you can be assured of a pool and free parking and maybe free breakfast prior to purchase.

As noted above, there is no way to guarantee an indoor pool or free parking with either service, although with HOTWIRE one can make an "educated guess" as to which hotels are showing. As for parking, parking costs in major cities has unfortunately been going up and I would guess that the majority of hotels in the core areas of DC (as well as at least some of the outlying areas) charge for parking. While a bummer, it is still a savings over regular rate + the same cost for parking.

What areas would be acceptable, and what would be your desired budget/star rating per night? Additionally, if searching on HOTWIRE are you seeing any listings of interest?

Thanks for your feedback... I know there is no guarantees..and with or without pool. There are some great prices available for dc..so I am psyched either way. I would like to stay at downtown dc or DuPont circle area. I am happy to get a hotel that is at least three stars, and I would like to keep it under $100. I know there are some beautiful 4 stars available at similar price and I almost want to say screw the pool to stay at some great hotel..but that being said...when my 8 year old is looking at me...with sad eyes..lol..I may want to get an indoor pool. Are they any hotels in the 3 or 3.5 range that may have pool in any of those areas. I am even open to capital hill area..I am very easy :)

Street Parking on 2/19 (Sun) & 2/20 (Fed holiday) will be free. If the pool is an important thing, you might want to look for one of the hotels in Old Town Alexandria or Crystal City that has an indoor pool. That is a dead weekend in DC. You should be able to get decent rates, even outside of HW. Call the hotel first to make sure their pool is open and won't be closed when you're visiting.

Won 4* in downtown dc for $90 bucks for this weekend...on Hotwire for 3 people..checked in and I was given one bed in room..with a promise rollaway bed..they came with rollaway bed and said it will be a fire hazard..,but concierge says they are booked no other rooms available for us to switch too..any suggestions how to get this resolved we are here three nights
