thesqueegeekid Posted July 19, 2003 Report Posted July 19, 2003 I bid this for some friends who wanted a 4* or better in "Left Bank" ... and this hotel is listed to be on the left bank side of the river so I hope they like it.First bids... up to $140 for a 5*.Than tried 4* $90 for St. Germain - Latin Quarter - Montparnasse and got a counter-offer to add $22.I started a new bid for 4* $90 Eiffel Tower - Grenelle - Montparnasse and got rejected. I rebid $100 for both zones and won this hotel.Reviews don't look great BUT after doing a PL vacation search, they actually say that the hotel is under-going major renovations in 2003.Eiffel Tower - Grenelle - Montparnasse61 Quai De Grenelle Paris, France 33 1 40 58 20 00Your Offer Price: $100.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 3 Subtotal: $300.00 Taxes andService Fees: $29.14 Total Charges: $329.14Now, to bid the rest of their hotels...
Welldone Rumproast Posted July 20, 2003 Report Posted July 20, 2003 Hi - This hotel is the re-flagged Nikko Hotel Paris, so it is/was definitely an upscale property. One definite advantage (especially for Paris) - it has a swimming pool with retractable roof :) - also a Japanese restaurant on-site.
WillTravel Posted July 20, 2003 Report Posted July 20, 2003 If it has working air-conditioning, I bet all will be forgiven :)I'm dying to hear how the rest of the bids work out.
