deallover Posted June 26, 2005 Report Posted June 26, 2005 Hi,I want to get 5* on the stip for July 17th for 3 nights.I see people getting $99 bid accepted on Priceline. I tried and it is asking me to increase it to $121 before tax.I also read that someone got the $100 rate direct from the hotel. When I called they are offering me $169 per night. Can you guys help me plz?Should I keep trying Priceline by keeping 5* option ans adding the zones?I think I should avoid zones with RESORT signs next to it correct? Thanks in advance.NeilP.S. How do I find out what the 4* are going on the strip for? Thx.

thereuare Posted June 26, 2005 Report Posted June 26, 2005 You can book it HERE for $108/nite... there is no booking for so about $1 more per nite than you have bid above.Let us know if you take it. deallover Posted June 26, 2005 Author Report Posted June 26, 2005 Hi, Thanks for the reply.I tried the link but it is showing me the rate of $164.83 per night. How can I get the $108 rate?Plz let me know.ThxNeil
Blueskies Posted June 26, 2005 Report Posted June 26, 2005 How many adults and children are you selecting? Is it check-in 17th and check out 20th? I am getting same rate as Thereuare for that dates for 2 adults. Also same rate for checking out 21st for 2 adults.
thereuare Posted June 26, 2005 Report Posted June 26, 2005 Good catch BleuSkies.I think the issue is selecting more than double occupancy. If you were willing to take the 'risk' of more than double occupancy on Priceline than i think there shouldn't be much difference doing the same witht the above. Their rooms do have a pull-out couch in them. deallover Posted June 28, 2005 Author Report Posted June 28, 2005 Hi,Sorry for the late reply. I am on vacation and so internet was not available to me.I finally booked the ticket from the easyclicktravel website. I got the Venetian for $108.50 per night from 7/17-7/20.Thanks a lot for your help. :-)One question. I have never used easyclicktravel before. Is it working like Priceline?Meaning the booking is non refundable - non transferable, if my plan changes. Just wondering.
thereuare Posted June 28, 2005 Report Posted June 28, 2005 Most of their hotel reservations are cancellable up to 72 hours before check-in date (Disney on-site properties are 5 days before check-in date) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
deallover Posted June 29, 2005 Author Report Posted June 29, 2005 That is really great. I am not planning on cancelling but unlike priceline you can cancel within 72 hours is very nice thing. :-)Thanks again for your help.
smeltnight Posted July 8, 2005 Report Posted July 8, 2005 THEREUARE,Is the listing on this link always the Venetian? I wanted to book for 8/7 and 8/8 and it's showing 108. This sight doesn't seem like it's very opaque if you can just cancel 72 hours in advance if it's not the hotel you were hoping for. Do they have a non-refundable booking fee, am I missing something, is there a catch? Thanks,
thereuare Posted July 8, 2005 Report Posted July 8, 2005 Welcome to BetterBidding!Yes, the link above is for the Venetian. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
smeltnight Posted July 8, 2005 Report Posted July 8, 2005 It was the Venetian. 108.53 a night for 8/7 and 8/8. tax was about another 20. Thanks so much. I'm planning a trip to NY in september and plan on using the information on this site to book that as well.
