norwegianwife Posted June 20, 2005 Report Posted June 20, 2005 Hmm--Ok just tried to bid on 5 star in Vegas on Priceline through Savingsbarn....Started out with an offer of 85 on the StripPriceline came back and said 'Sorry, no deal'Added Nellis and upped the bid to 90Priceline searches says no, BUT we found these hotels on Priceline 'select your own hotel' site...and gave me lots of pictures and prices of the hotels, but with no option to rebid or select other areas...etc...So, closed out that window and started over....Started at 99 since that is what the Venetian has been going for....deniedraised to 100 added Nellisdeniedraised to 105 added Fremontdenied and taken to the page where i could 'select my own hotel' again....What gives??any ideas or suggestions? Thanks
thereuare Posted June 20, 2005 Report Posted June 20, 2005 With the hotel's website rate at $219/nite i don't think you'll find success at the amounts you're bidding. If you want this hotel i think that a rate of $131/nite thru THIS LINK is going to be your best bet. norwegianwife Posted June 21, 2005 Author Report Posted June 21, 2005 ok, bid up to 135 for a 5* July 27 checking out on the 28th and was allowed to have 2 rebids and then Priceline said 'sorry can't find any hotels willing to accept your price of 135...' and took me to the 'Select your own hotel page' again with no option of going back to select a free rebid zone.... We are still 6 weeks out, about...For some reason that wednesday night is expensive both at the Venetian and the Bellagio. Any suggestions as to what I should do? Wait a week and try again? As far as history goes here, have you seen some good 4 stars for good prices on the strip?? We are willing to pay up to 135 before taxes. Thanks for your help!
