pip321 Posted June 19, 2005 Report Posted June 19, 2005 Selected amenities include: Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Business Center.I was expecting to get the Hilton Pearl River (see previous post), but got the Sheraton instead. :) They both look very nice though.
thereuare Posted June 20, 2005 Report Posted June 20, 2005 The Sheraton is a nice hotel too... much more modern looking than the Hilton. The Sheraton is almost out of place looking, like this big, modern, glass structure in the middle of nowhere (it's not really in the middle of nowhere as you're only a 5 minute drive away from more than truckstops, but it's very out of place in my opinion).Thank you for the updated amenties for this property. For dinner one nite, i highly recommend:Kinchleys Tavern586 North Franklin TpkeRamsey, NJ 07446201.934.7777Posted elsewhere on the board:A must do while you are there is to go to Kinchley's Tavern for pizza (just over a 5 minute drive from this hotel). dahammer Posted June 20, 2005 Report Posted June 20, 2005 I second the Kinchley's recommendation, I just went to the Lombardi's in the "Little Italy" part of Manhattan and supposedly the first pizzaria in the US, I actually liked Kinchley's pizza better. Thinner crust and not burnt on the bottom. Lombardi's uses a coal oven and the underside of the crust gets blackened in some spots due to he high temperature of the oven.
pip321 Posted June 21, 2005 Author Report Posted June 21, 2005 Thanks for the advice. I'll definitely try it out. The family loooooves pizza.
