new to airline bids - help plse

Sorry if silly question, but is there a way out or is it just like hotel bids: you do bid, it is accepted, you get flight itinerary info, YOU OWN IT, or can you decline (as one friend seems to think) if you decide it is not in your best interest. Thanks in advance.

Nope, once bid you own it as is. My experience was that even with being an elite member of the airline's program I won, no changes or refunds were allowed at all.
