Priceline Hotel: Paris - Cant choose number of people in the room?

Hey everyone.

I'm going to Paris with my family, 2 boys (21 and 14 years old) + my wife

Priceline doesn't give me the option of choosing the number of occupants in the room. I know that most hotels don't accept 3 adults in a room. On Expedia I can find the hotels that allow 4 people in a room, but unfortunately I can't do that on Priceline.

So how should I bid? Should I bid for 2 rooms instead? Or bid for 1 room and negotiate with the hotel to put in an extra bed after winning the bid?

On Expedia I was able to get a pretty sweet deal, $169 for Frankfurt Hilton, 3 adults and 1 child :) I hope I can get a similar deal in Paris.

I'm looking for a 4*-5* hotel in the heart of Paris

I can go up to 300$ per night.

The moderators will be able to respond to your inquiry on how best to bid. My comment is as to Priceline, they only guarantee a room to accommodate 2 adults. The rest is up to the hotel and your persuasiveness upon check-in. NO guarantees, other that the room will accommodate 2 adults. Hope this helps!

I think I'm going to take the risk, If they don't allow 4 people, then I'll just bid for another hotel nearby :) The family will be split up in 2 different hotels in the worst case scenario :)))))

HOTWIRE would be a better choice in this regard, as if you indicate four people, you should get some form of bedding for the entire party. PRICELINE is only guaranteed for 1 bed/double occupancy, and this is particularly a problem in some foreign cities with smaller rooms and some US cities (such as New York City.)

Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

Does anything of interest appear on HOTWIRE within your desired zones and budget when searching for quad occupancy?

If you'd prefer to move forward with PRICELINE, which zones (by PRICELINE name) are you willing to accept? Are you willing to pay more for a higher rated hotel (a 5* vs. a 4*) OR is your goal the least expensive 4* or better for this stay?

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
