Hotwire Hotel: 2.5* Reno-Tahoe (North Lake Tahoe) Lake of the Sky Inn

Stayed 8/22/11 - paid $53 with taxes it was $64.

Amenities included Near Beach, Pool(s), High Speed Internet Access, Smoke free rooms, Resturant(s), Complimentary Breakfast, Business Center, Golf Nearby

This hotel, and I use the term hotel very loosley here, is the Lake of the Sky Inn.

Looking for a one-nighter and wanted north lake tahoe. Hotwire had only one hit and no info could be found on this forum.

The good- quaint small town everyone should visit, great view of the Lake across the street. The high speed internet connection is servicable. I'm only had to stay one night.

The bad- 2.5 stars Hotwire....really? I was very disappointed with this rating having seen the hotel , I have usually had good resutls using hotwire and this forum together. In my humble opinion this hotel is "at least" one star overrated.

The Ugly-No A/C....I didnt know this was legal. I like my rooms COLD and this just dosent cut it. I've got the window open and the mini refrig open too. :)

Lot's of street noise, of course the window's open that dosent help with this inn being just off the highway.

Moral of the story- if you use Hotwire make sure this forum has information to support the purchase. Otherwise - Buyer beware.
