The first property, a 4* in the Gaslamp Quarter North zone is a match for the W San Diego hotel so that would be my best guess for this one.

Which zone is the second property located in? Based upon your guess of the Marriott i assumed it was in the Gaslamp South zone, but i'm not seeing any offer that looks like the above when searching HOTWIRE for your dates. Are you still seeing this on your own HOTWIRE search? If so, are you searching for more than one room or for more than the default 2adults/0children?

Update: I forgot to add my child while booking. So the rates differ now along with the choice of hotels.

Here was what I was given.

San Diego - 4* Downtown - Harbor Island area hotel

$130 ~ Sunday 8/21 -> 8/23

This one was a give in from the Hotwire Hotel List page.

I booked and received the Manchester Grand Hyatt.

Hopefully all the positive reviews on this hotel outshine the negative ones!
