GA Atlanta Holiday Inn Select Cap Center Downtown

I completed the stay last week and wanted to follow-up. The lobby is beautiful and they provide shuttle service. I got an upgrade due to my Priority club status although they did not have to do it since I purchased through HW. The rooms were more like a typical HI, but not bad and certainly worth the money. Caution to those who stay here; there are no convenient restaurants; entertainment etc. nearby other than Turner Field across the street. Traffic is a nightmare on game nights when they turn all lanes into one way streets for a few hours. I walked (10 min) to the Ga State MARTA station a couple of times but it is in a transitional neighborhood at the junction of two interstates and not convenient to downtown amenities. I would not recommend walking around there at night.

For the price it is a great value, especially if you have a car and know your way around, AND you are not staying when the Braves are playing!
