jbhall
There published rate was $180, so we were quite pleased with this. Also it was a very nice hotel and everyone was very friendly. They were in the process of updating there rooms. Even though we did not have an updated room, it was still very nice.We had some charges to our room, so we got an itemized bill at the end. It had a room rate of $51 per night. I knew that hotwire and priceline made more than the fee they charged and this showed that they made an additional $14 per night. Link to comment
thereuare
Thank you for sharing your win with the rest of the board... adding a new hotel to our lists!Hotwire does mark-up their rates (their mark-up is variable in order to increase opacity), but we have seen Priceline wins at 'cost' (where Priceline would only make their fee)... most of Priceline's mark-up comes in the form of over-bids.Glad you enjoyed your stay... is the Cheesecake Factory there still have insane lines? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
dahammer
not if you go during mid week at 11:30 am for lunch!! :) We still had a half hour wait, but a seasoned 13 year-old restaurant reviewer proclaimed several times that it was "very fancy" and its now her favorite! Link to comment
jbhall
We didn't go to the Cheesecake Factory, but pretty much everything had a long line on Sunday. It was beautiful and there were tons of people there. We also didn't go to the aquarium, because we had been there before, but I bet it's line was an 1/8 of a mile long and the line was to buy tickets to get in 2-3 hours later. Link to comment
