relaxing41
The hotel is similar to a Residence Inn with a few exceptions, First I was pretty happy when I opened the door and saw two queen sized beds since I'm traveling with children. This room also has a pullout couch which allowsyou to sleep 3 people in their own beds .or three couples (total of six people). There isa small kitchen wich has a stovetop (no oven), dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator (large, but smaller than a regular sized one), toaster and dishes. Breakfast is included and on Tuesday,Weds, and thursday they have an evening reception. The bathroom has a tub whichI do not always see in studios. Another good thing is that this hotel has free, self service, laundromat. THere is a dvd player in the room with a flat screen tv. The frontdesk clerk said that they used to have dvd movies to offer but people stole all of themso they now just tell you to go rent them at redbox for $1. The pool is nicely heatedand goes from 3 to 6 feet. They also include breakfast with a large selection. My 8 yr old knew I was writing a review of the hotel and told me not to write anything negative since she likes this room and the hotel. I told her I wouldn't but while I likethis hotel also I must say the one problem I encountered. Its my pet peeve to have cleensheets at a hotel and by the amount of unclean ones I run across I think some hotelsdon't even consider it a requirement. THe only thing I don't like about my room is that one of the beds had a comforter that was not clean. THey have brown comforters on the beds so I can see how easy it could befor a lazy maid to think they could get away with not changing the comforter or washingit. They only offer weekly cleaning here which also can contribute to less than adequateservice. I personally do not want to sleep on a comforter that someone else used and then was not washed. It really upsets my whole stay when the sheets are dirty and full of other peoples hair. What is WOrse, is, when I called front deskto complain, they were not surprised and were very unapologetic and offered no solution. PlusI was told I could not get a clean comforter since they only offer two comforters per room. when I pointed outthat one of the two was dirty but he sound annoyed that I would even care. I was toldthat the room should have a blanket in the closet but mine did not. Finally I askedfor cleen sheets and was told if I wanted them I had to come down and get them myself, which is not a problem. I think it is so easy to make sure the bedding in the room is clean before you let someonerent the room but Obviously this is just my thinking and is not shared by many hotels includingthis one. It is too bad too because otherwise I would give this hotel a perfect rating. Link to comment
