Colfax Posted July 13, 2011 Report Posted July 13, 2011 To be sure we're looking at the same listing is this a one night stay or two?
thereuare Posted July 13, 2011 Report Posted July 13, 2011 I'm going to assume this is a one nite stay but hopefully the OP will confirm with their next reply.Besides the four hotels above you can add the W Hotel to the possibilities as it too has been reported to the board with this amenity set.Of these the Palomar seems the least likely, but can't differentiate between any of the others being more/less likely then the rest. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help.PS- please follow-up your previous Hotwire Dallas thread with whatever you ended up doing for that stay. venuslight Posted July 13, 2011 Author Report Posted July 13, 2011 This is for just a one night stay. Thanks for your help with this. I updated my Dallas thread - we didn't end up staying at a hotel for that trip.Based on the dates of this San Francisco trip, do you think this price for this hotel is a good deal? Thanks for all your help.
thereuare Posted July 13, 2011 Report Posted July 13, 2011 Expedia has a few 4* hotels in this zone for $190-$210, so not a huge savings, but a decent price, and each person will likely have their own thoughts if they'd go with the opaque offer for $$30-$50 savings vs. paying up and choosing their hotel. I think this savings is the 'grey area' where it depends upon what you want from your hotel stay and how important knowing the actual location beforehand is if for the area. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or our Expedia link if you go that route. Colfax Posted July 14, 2011 Report Posted July 14, 2011 Priceline usually beats Hotwire on price, so you can probably get a better rate bidding 4* on Priceline. Hotwire's price premium is worth it when you have some idea which hotel you're buying. But in cases like this, where the Hotwire option could be any of four different hotels, you might as well Priceline, imo, because you're playing Spin the Bottle on Hotwire too.
venuslight Posted February 28, 2012 Author Report Posted February 28, 2012 Thanks for all the assistance. We ended up using hotels.com to stay at a hotel closer to the ballpark.
