Hi!

Just looking for any help with booking a 4* at Whistler for June 9,2005 - June 10, 2005. I already have one unsuccesful bid at $50. I have looked at the rebid strategy post, but there are no other zones to add (Squamish is not available at all)! Do you have any hints? Or can someone perhaps suggest a bid amount?

Thanks a lot for all your help (I would have been pretty lost without this site!). :)

Welcome to BetterBidding!

You're probably looking closer to $75-$100. Do you currently have a back-up hotel anywhere? (if so where and how much, if not, what will you do if unsuccessful with the opaque services)

Did you look to see if HOTWIRE had anything of interest?

Thanks for your quick help!

I was hoping to get a good deal on priceline but if that didn't work I was going to take the Delta Whistler at $104CAD or the Blackcomb Lodge at $95CAD. I might try on priceline one more time after my current 72hour period is over. If not I will book one of my back-ups. Hotwire seems more expensive than my backups right now.

Thanks again.

Quick update...

For 4* I subesequently bid:

$60

$65

$70

$73

$77

I was rejected for all of them. In the end I have booked the Pinnacle Hotel at a rate of $125CAD +tax for a Deluxe Studio room including parking (it is usually $15).

Thanks for all the help here...i'll be sure to visit next time I need a hotel room!

Hi banana88

may I ask which site you used for booking your Whistler hotel room? How do you know it includes parking?

It would be great if you could let us know how your stay went - I am thinking of booking the same hotel myself in late July! The jacuzzi in the room sounds quite tempting :)

thanks

Sorry for the delayed reply. I called their number directly to ask for a better rate and they offered me the parking for free ($15.00 I believe). I didn't spend much time in the room but it was quite nice although a bit darkly decorated. Service was polite and helpful. I can't really comment on the other hotel ammenities as I did not use them. I hope this was at least a little bit useful! I hope you have a good stay.
