runNgun Posted May 10, 2005 Report Posted May 10, 2005 add some star ratings and I'll help but I'll guess also:if the first one is a 2* then Travelodge Eastif the 2nd is a 3* then Best Western LBV3rd if a 3* is Radisson Worldgate.
thereuare Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 Welcome to BetterBidding! As runNgun suggests, please go back to HOTWIRE and include the star ratings of each of the hotels you have listed. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
elktra236 Posted May 12, 2005 Author Report Posted May 12, 2005 Thank you for the advice and it is just like you said 1st= 2*, 2nd= 3*, 3rd=3*. Thank You :)
runNgun Posted May 12, 2005 Report Posted May 12, 2005 based on that you've got my answers, I'd go for the Best Western LBV if I had a choice. Have you purchased from HW before? If not, look for the "giftcard05" thread on the board. Even if you have, use a different email and a different credit card and you can use it again.
thereuare Posted May 12, 2005 Report Posted May 12, 2005 ... and use this HOTWIRE link to begin your purchase :) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
elktra236 Posted May 25, 2005 Author Report Posted May 25, 2005 Hello to all, We are taking our son to WDW for the first time and want to get a decent hotel, but on a reasonable budget. We are going 8/4-12/05, would prefer a 2 or 3 star hotel, within the WDW area Lake Buena Vista, Kissimmee area and the max would be $50 or lower. Would this be possible? I never have used Priceline before and if I could get some advice, i would certainly appreciate it.
Blueskies Posted May 25, 2005 Report Posted May 25, 2005 You may also want to check out Hotwire as it has good rates around your dates and you may be able to guess which hotel its likely to be and you can use the money off coupon if you are a first time hotwire buyer I believe. Good thing about Hotwire is that you would be able to stipulate the number of beds which you can't with Priceline. Would you be ok with one bed? How young is your son? Also you may strike lucky and get the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in WDW area as some people have got it and low rates due to work going on in Atrium. So it may be worth starting with resort and working down but theruare will give you good advice. Have you looked at the hotel list and happy with all the 2 and 3 star listings? Everyone has a different view of what is acceptable so you need to check it out for yourself and confirm this.Good luck
elktra236 Posted May 25, 2005 Author Report Posted May 25, 2005 I am going to check into Hotwire as well. When you mentioned the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress are you saying to check hotwire or priceline? I would love to be in a nice resort, but honestly if the room is clean and they have a bed, shower and a pool, i would be ok with it. I figure that we will me gone the majority of the time. If we had on bed it would have to be a king, my son is 8 yrs old. Thank you for your advice.
thereuare Posted May 25, 2005 Report Posted May 25, 2005 Whatever happened to your other HOTWIRE DISNEY thread? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
elktra236 Posted May 25, 2005 Author Report Posted May 25, 2005 Nothing, I printed the information and I am looking into all my options. I want to make the best choice and have a good idea where i am going to stay and for the best price. If i can get more for my money that would be great. I never used hotwire or priceline b4, so i am very grateful for all the advice that i am getting. I think that I may be leaning with hotwire, I rather know the prices up front.
Blueskies Posted May 25, 2005 Report Posted May 25, 2005 HOTWIRE would probably be safer if you are looking for more than Double occupancy but Priceline is normally cheaper. Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress was a priceline win and you could be updgraded to this if you bid for a lower star level. Some like to strike a deal and the thrill of working a deal and others want to play it safer. But it is really up to you. If you are really not fussy you could probably get a better deal on Priceline but you need to do your homework and depends how much time you have or want to spend on it. Then again you may win something straight away. Good luck whichever route you go but please post back on what you decide and remember to use the links that support Betterbidding.
elktra236 Posted January 8, 2008 Author Report Posted January 8, 2008 I was asked post what I decided on doing for this trip, before I ask any further assistance on another trip. Well, we were offered to stay with family in there large RV, in Disney's Fort Wilderness and that is what we did. We saved a good amount of money too. I would recommend the campground to anyone. Thank You for all the help!
