May bid for 6-night stretch, all Manhattan zones, late June or July;

there is little/no 2.5-3* reporting on some zones;

any comments on where to start appreciated;

$50? $60? $70? More?

Would 2* typically be closet-sized "flea bag" with stained rugs in NYC?

$70 is unfortunately unlikely; around the $70 region is rarely seen aside from at times during the slowest period of the year (January/February) Under 2.5* is not recommended, as the 2* properties can significantly vary in quality, and while there may be a couple that would be okay, there are likely more than a few that would definitely not. NYC prices can vary significantly from day-to-day, but July is likely to be cheaper than June, although I think you're unfortunately looking at more than $70 - and finding significant discounts across a 6-day stretch in NYC can be tough at times. If you have significant flexibility in terms of dates, then you could keep trying multiple date combinations. What would be your desired top budget per night?
