lew
Hotwire has a 4* property S strip $139 /nighthotel, resort, casino, restaurant, pool, fitness, spa, golf, tennisAny ideas? Sounds like any hotel.I may just book MGM (avg price of 152). Probably not enough savings to bother. NYNY has an avg rate of 139 if I book direct.I don't want to switch hotels or I'd grab Venetian for 7/4 ($100rate)edited to add:I RAN A VACATION quote with a rental car. Luxor is an exact match, 126/night if I book direct. I guess I'll book conventionally. I'll see if Venetian has availability at the last minute. I waited too long or I could have gotten the $100 rate for the last 2 nights.VENETIAN DISCOUNTS--Venetian has been promoting a $100 special. I think each code has a different allocation of rooms. Does anyone have a source of codes to try? travelzoo code doesn't help me. Link to comment
thereuare
Please note on our SUPPORT PAGE that we are affiliate of both the MGM and NYNY.Note that Treasure Island averages out to $126/nite (and i think is a better deal than the above two)You may also want to try our Las Vegas Checker tool.Let us know what you decide. lew
Luxor has a good rate but is too far from everything else. Have tickets to Le Reve and my wife is planning to go to Canyon Ranch. What's your opinion of MGM and do I want the Grand Tower or West Wing? Did the West Wing used to be called the Emerald Tower? A few days ago I could have gotten 7/3 and 7/4 for $100 at the Venetian. Snooze and I lost.My thinking--I previously stayed at TI, would prefer to try something new, pool wasn't that great and we got an inexpensive suite. My wife would find a regular room a let down. I don't think Paris is worth the premium price over Ballys.I'll use your link to book MGM but I'll look back first to see if you have any follow up suggestions. Link to comment
thereuare
Why not try a strategy to still get the Venetian? (we'll suggest one if you'd like to go that route)Found elsewhere on the net: EMERALD TOWER ROH, 350 square feet. Considered to be a standard room in size, however deluxe in decor, featuring either 1 king or 2 queen beds. Rollaway beds are not available in the Emerald Tower GRAND TOWER ROH, 450 square feet. One of the largest rooms in Las Vegas, featuring 1 king or 2 queen beds, white Italian marble bathrooms. Rollaway beds are available at an additional charge in the Grand Tower. WEST WING ROOM, West Wing's boutique style rooms reflect style as much as they do comfort. Mirrored walls reflect personality. Contemporary king-sized pillow top mattresses and body pillows cushion the spirit. Flat screen TV's, DVD players and Bose radio alarm clocks satisfy your senses. All West Wing rooms offer 1 king-sized bed. Rollaway beds are not permitted. I don't think i'm a big fan of the MGM due to:1) location... although this hotel makes up the "Four Corners", i prefer the northern end of the main part of the strip... the area around Treasure Island, Mirage, and Venetian2) size... it's really big, a bit too big for my tastes in that it can take awhile to get from Point A to Point B Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
lew
For the hell of it I checked NYNY which is now sold out and MGM went up. Booked Ballys and TI (your link for TI). Don't know much about Bally's, is it OK.I was going to try PL for Venetian just before cancellation date. Problem is I really don't want to change hotels. I'd swallow high 7/2 rate if $100 rate was still available for 7/3 and 7/4.Do you have an alternate strategy? Link to comment
thereuare
You can book the Venetian for $131/nite for 7/3-7/5 HERE. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
lew
7/2 is the killer date. Link to comment
thereuare
I know 7/2 is the tough date, but i supplied the above as you had previously said you would "swallow a high rate for 7/2 if $100 was still available for the other nites." As $100 is not available for the other nites, i thought the $131 above was close. lew
SORRY.That's the problem with not filling out the large form required by the other site. :) I tend to leave out information. When I was ready to book I had a $150-100 rate available for 7/3 and 7/4. I wasn't willing to swallow $350 for 7/2. I guess I was willing to pay an average rate for the 3 nights of $150-$175. I see the Hotwire rate for 7/2 is been bouncing up and down. I'm letting my wife pick from MGM, TI and Ballys as a backup, sounds like you like TI the best.I may try Venetian on time on PL right before my cancellation date. Is there particular time I should try 7 days, 5 days. I'll use your link.Do you have a technical contact at easyclicktravel? I can't use the site from my home computer. I went so far as to put the site in my trusted zone. Send me an emal or PM if you have a contact. Link to comment

lew
I used your link for TI. Also booked Bally's, will let my wife decide which property. When I use easyclicktravel (or even lastminute travel) I get as far as entering my dates, city etc. I hit search and I'll either get a page not found error or it'll just go back to my search screen. I went so far as to allow all cookies and put easyclicktravel in my trusted zone. My guess is it may be a version of sunjava that I need for other applications. Works fine on my computer at work.
