dhn121 Posted June 9, 2011 Report Posted June 9, 2011 Hi I'm new to this saw that hotwire has a 4* hotel for $85 with no name listed for Long Beach Airport areaRecommended in 85 % of Hotwire customer reviews Long Beach area hotel (0.6 - 5.1 mi from LGB)for dates 8/4-8/5/2011Priceline doesn't even have any 4* hotel I wonder if there's a way to bid on hotwire or you just take the price that they have listed. Also is there a way to guess as to what this hotel is?Thank in advance
AaronJB Posted June 9, 2011 Report Posted June 9, 2011 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)HOTWIRE offers a set of discounted listings, and you learn the name of the property after purchase. PRICELINE offers bidding. This thread further discusses the details of both services: I've Never Used Priceline or Hotwire. If you would like assistance ID'ing a property, please provide the complete list of amenity icons showing with the listing.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
dhn121 Posted June 9, 2011 Author Report Posted June 9, 2011 Thanks AaronJB for replying. What I don't understand is, when I'm searching for a hotel close to Long Beach airport on hotwire nothing comes up that's 4* close by when they disclose the names of the hotel (everything is at least 10 miles away). The hotel they listed for $85 is 0.6 - 5.1 mi. Is this from the center of Long Beach or is it the edge of Long Beach. Meaning is the .06-5.1 miles away from the center or from the borders of Long Beach? Any ideas?4-star Hotel in Long BeachThis Hotel features the following amenities:Near Beach Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Is there a way to find a hotel near the airport and not just the city?
thereuare Posted June 9, 2011 Report Posted June 9, 2011 Please keep all posts the same stay in the same thread (if you ultimately use HOTWIRE we'll then move this thread to that section of the board)When using PRICELINE or HOTWIRE you have to be able to accept a hotel anywhere within the predefined boundaries of the zone(s) you select. The Hyatt Regency Long Beach has previously been seen with the amenity set above so that would be my best guess for this one. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. The 0.6-5.1 miles refers to how far the possible hotels in Long Beach zone are from that red pin. The red pin could be anywhere on a zone map, but in this case it's near Long Beach Airport.
