sergio823 Posted June 6, 2011 Author Report Posted June 6, 2011 Just used the link here for PRICELINE, choose resort and won at $85 per night. This was a great buy! Was fully expecting the Westin because the Marriott was reclassified as 4 * for Aruba for the discounted pricing. We are very happy as we prefer the Marriott, both are nice have stayed at each just prefer the Marriott.
sergio823 Posted June 6, 2011 Author Report Posted June 6, 2011 Pricing went up the day after and kept going up so used the PRICELINE link below and won the Marriott for $85 per night. Great buy!Choose resort and bid 80 lost, bid 85 and won!I posted in the priceline forum as wellGo Blue!
Relayer Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 I'm confused. How could you bid on a resort and win a 4* hotel? That's impossible based on the rules for PRICELINE. Are you saying the Marriott is a 4* on the retail list, but a resort for name your own price? I've never heard of that either.
AaronJB Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 Congrats on your success. :)Nice deal for this Marriott property. Can you confirm the star rating as listed under the trip information in your account? Thanks.Thank you for sharing your win and using the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
