Colfax Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 I've been visiting SF for years...make that decades...and this was the first time I've ever stayed in Fisherman's Wharf. And what do you know...my first time bidding in Fisherman's Wharf I won a new hotel, not on the Hotel List. :) Courtyard by Marriott Fisherman's Wharf580 Beach StreetSan Francisco, CA 94133Rejected up to $90 for 3* in USE, USW, Embarcadero, and SOMA before I switched gears and tried FW on a whim. $70/2.5* in FW was rejected. $75 upgraded to 3* Courtyard.Room had two double beds plus a hideaway sofa that would have slept two children. The room could have accomodated a family of six.Parking was valet only with in and out privileges for $36/night. Immediately east of the Courtyard on Beach Street is the Anchorage Garage where you can park for $25/night, also with in and out. Anchorage Garage is a good alternative for guests at the Holiday Inn too, which is across the street from Courtyard.I tried using Add a Night to extend one night. I was refused with no counteroffer, even though Courtyard had the same $179 rate both nights. Maybe they only use Priceline on Sunday nights?FW was a good change of pace. It's been too long since I looked at the sea lions.Bids placed through the BetterBidding PRICELINE link.
