thereuare Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 Is there a reason you're not using your re-bid zone? Are you willing to pay more for a Resort vs. a 4* OR is your goal the least expensive 4* or better for this stay? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Colfax Posted May 20, 2011 Report Posted May 20, 2011 This could be a tough one. May 28 is Saturday night of Memorial Day weekend and it looks like some of the resorts and 4* have a two-night minimum over the weekend, at least on HOTWIRE.Checking HOTWIRE for 5/28 alone the highest rated hotel they have in Palm Springs-Cathedral City is a 3.5* for $140 (looks like Doral Desert Princess) or a 2.5* in Rancho Mirage-Palm Desert for $97. In La Quinta-Indian Wells HOTWIRE has nothing. But if you check 5/27 and 5/28 together then 4* become available. There's a 4* in PSP/CC for $218 and a 4* in La Quinta-Indian Wells for $191.What that means is a two-night minimum at those hotels. Is staying two night an option for you?If not I think you need to be bidding higher, or try for 3.5*/3*. Many resorts and 4* are sold out. The Riviera is $409.
