Kaneohe0850 Posted May 6, 2011 Report Posted May 6, 2011 Can you provide guidance on bidding for a four star hotel at LAX?I need 1 room for 1 night on May 23.My second choice is a 3.5 star at LAX.Thank you!
thereuare Posted May 6, 2011 Report Posted May 6, 2011 So we don't suggest a strategy which goes higher then you care to spend, what is your maximum bid for a 4* hotel before lower your star rating to a 3.5* property? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Kaneohe0850 Posted May 6, 2011 Author Report Posted May 6, 2011 Ugh--sorry forforgetting that important detail.Max for 4 star is $90 all-inMax for 3.5 star is $75 all-in
Colfax Posted May 6, 2011 Report Posted May 6, 2011 HOTWIRE has a 4* LAX for $71, so you won't need to bid to $90 on Priceline. (Although it's possible that the HOTWIRE 4* is a PRICELINE 3.5*.)When bidding for 4* in LA you have THREE rebid zones. Those are zones that only have less than 4* quality hotels. If you need help determining your three rebids please ask.I suggest $55 for a 4* at LAX, then add $5 with each rebid zone up to $70.Please start your bid with this PRICELINE link. Good luck and let us know how it goes!
Kaneohe0850 Posted May 7, 2011 Author Report Posted May 7, 2011 First bid was $55 and PL countered with $70.Added a free rebid zone and bid $60 and bid was accepted! Here are details:4 star hotelMay 23, 1 nightLAX HiltonBid $60, $75.95 all-inGreat! Thanks for your help. :)
