I see Hotwire has a 3* hotel in Union Square East for June 18 - 25 for $110 plus taxes when I search for a single room for 3 people. The amenities listed are smoke free rooms and high-speed Internet access. Does anyone know which hotel I am likely to get and how this compares to Priceline? What is my best strategy to get the best deal?

Thanks!

Welcome to BetterBidding!

PRICELINE is usually a little cheaper then HOTWIRE, but the problem for your stay above is that PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, which means that on a PRICELINE win you could receive a room with only one bed.

The Powell Hotel has previously been seen with this amenity combination so that would be my best guess for this one, but with just these two amenities showing, can never be too confident.

Some of the older hotels near Union Square have very small bathrooms by modern day standards. It's possible you could get TWO 2.5* rooms on Priceline for $110 (i.e. $55 per room), and have two bathrooms and showers. Or do you definitely want to all be in one room?
