HW showed $53 for 3.5 * and $61 for 4*. My only requirement was must have a pool (orders from the GF whose two college aged sons are on this short trip with us). HW showed all hotels at every star as having pools so I figured I'd definitely get one at the 4* level on PL. Base on other winning bids and availability of five free rebid opportunities, I started low and worked in $3 increments.

After winning the bid I was surprised to find a special $79 and $89 rate on the hotel's direct book website but those were highly restricted weekend specials and still about double what I',m paying.

There's no such thing as the GF being twice as pleased with ANYTHING :)

That said - she'll be fine with this.

Things are still a bit fuzzy but I have extended my rental here in NJ to at least the end of August.

Having a phone conference next week with a prospective employer. Good chance we can come to an agreement and if so I may end up in the SF bay area - that would be cool - lots of West coast PL fun to be had!
