Priceline Hotel: 5* London (Chelsea-Knightsbridge) Wyndham Grand Chelsea Harbour

I Just booked a hotel through priceline using the name your own price. I have done this at least 4 times a year.

I put in Chelsea and Knightsbridge as part of my London search and I won my bid. A hotel in New Brompton which is not part of that area at all.

I called priceline and they said it was part of the map area even though they did not include that part of town on the headline.

I feel cheated and this hotel is way out of the way where i need to be.

Been going to LOndon on business every year for the last 10 years and have never had an issue.

Called p line in CT and the woman was a total not care about anything and stayed with the script the whole time,

I even said i will spend more and get a better and closer hotel.

Anyway, anyone know how to get a refund done?

I'm not familiar with London but when you look at Priceline's map of the Chelsea-Knightsbridge zone does the Wyndham Grand Hotel fall within the zone's boundaries? If it doesn't you're entitled to a refund. If the hotel's inside the zone then you're not.

It's the zone map that controls things, not the zone's name. Whenever you're going to bid a zone you should check the map first to be sure you're willing to accept a hotel located anywhere within the zone.

This situation comes up quite a bit, in various cities. Often it's a hotel in Priceline's "Downtown" zone that isn't really Downtown. But if Priceline draws Downtown to include that outlying hotel then it might come up.

This line says it all... the description of the zone is just for general purposes, it's the boundaries on the map which are the ultimate determining factor.

This property is indeed within the boundaries of the Chelsea-Knightsbridge zone so i don't see any basis for which you'd be entitled to a refund. The hotel does appear to be very close to a metro station, are you sure you won't be able to make this work for your needs?
