Trunkslu
Started off bidding for the New Brunswick Hyatt, rejected at $42, counter offered $12 increase, which was a little high and I didn't want to wait three days and end up getting the East Brunswick Hilton. Based on this counter offer, however, $48 should be a good bid for the two 3*s in the zone(east brunswick-edison)Changed bid for 2.5* in the same zone hoping for the Edison Clarion, rejected at $35, decided to broaden my search and added Somerset-Piscataway, accepted at $35 and got upgraded to the 3* Somerset Marriott.Does anyone who stayed at the property know what kind of rooms (King, 2 Double) they give to PL customers? This is my first post. This forum has been helpful in my hotel search and I hope my post helps too. Link to comment
dahammer
Like all Marriotts, this is a nice property and they are usually pretty good about accomodating guests. I would definately sign up for the Marriott Rewards program and although you will not earn any points for this stay, you should tell the clerk upon check in that you're a member. It could help you get the room that you want. Your stay is on a weekend and the occupancy levels should be down (unless Rutgers is having a graduation !!) You can also call the hotel directly and request your desired room type. You really got a terriffic rate @ $35 a night. Link to comment

biddingforhotel
Congratulations!!! You did BETTER than I did!!! I stayed at this hotel many times; I used to pay $99 to $129 until there was priceline that I often got between $40 and $45, but you got much better!!! Normally 3* hotel would give two double bed room to PL customer because they treated King bed room more valuable. This is the opposite than 2.5* like Courtyard Marriott down the road would prefer to give PL customer one king bed than two bed room. Link to comment
