Priceline Hotel: Santa Rosa Hotel Needed

I have been trying to get a hotel in Santa Rosa for 3 days in August 2011 but I am having no luck. I have been bidding $50-55-60 despite seeing previous wins for $45-50. Ideally I will get the 3.5* Flamingo as that is where other people are staying (I'm over for a wedding) but I'd be happy with other 3.5* places in the vicinity. Should I be bidding more because of the time of year (i.e August)?

Any hints/tips/advice would be greatly welcomed.

On PL I need it to be in one specific area (Santa Rosa) and my dates are fixed.

Any hints/tips/advice would be greatly welcomed.

Replied to message and have been using the links as I am a frequent visitor to the site.

Any help on my question is appreciated. Should I be upping my bid for a stay in August? Is 3 nights less likely to yield a good price?

What are your exact travel dates in August?

I need a hotel from the 3rd (Wed) for 3 nights. So checking out on the 6th (Sat)
