Priceline Hotel: 4* Venice Boscolo Hotel Bellini

Have been bidding on and off for a few months. I'm not sure what's going on in Venice then but the prices have been creeping up on regular booking sites so I finally decided to just book and be done with it. I have gone up to $ 250 for 5* with no success. Yesterday I bid $ 130 for 4* and was given the option of increasing to $ 150. Guessed it would likely be the Bellini. Today bid $ 140 and got it first bid. At $ 180 through regular online sites it is questionable whether it will be a good deal in the end but a savings is a savings. Hopefully the $ 40 doesn't relegate me to the worst room in the hotel as Priceline seems to often result in. For now it allows me to stop looking.

I've also been trying for Venice for the past couple of weeks for early July and had the same experiences you had, but no success yet. Must be fairly date-specific. Glad to hear you had success as I've booked the air and committed to take my wife this summer and have to go whatever price I can get. I'll keep trying PL as $140 is acceptable for me at this quality of hotel.
