TravelPhotographer Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 In trying to get best 4* Manhattan rate, am willing to stay in any Manhattan zoneoffering 4* -- looks like 9 do -- I prefer to start with all 9 zones selected as it also looks like I can still make 7 rebids/day between now & 4/1. Didn't see any successful Manhattan 4* bids under $100; is it a waste of time to start at $80 with $2 increments to win or trigger counter offer? Should I just start at $90 with $1 or $2 increments?Any advice appreciated.
AaronJB Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 Good evening. 4* bids accepted under $100 are fairly rare in NYC, even during the slowest periods of the year (Jan-mid March) and $100-105 generally seems to be about the floor for 4* prices. Based on the rates I'm seeing, a more likely starting bid would likely be $110, then I would proceed up by $5's. What would be your maximum budget per night?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
