thereuare Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding! The last 3 nites of your stay are substantially more expensive then the beginning nites of your trip, is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... please click this PRICELINE link before replying. ekpaul Posted March 18, 2011 Author Report Posted March 18, 2011 Hey thanks for the reply, How to do splitting of priceline bid? If i change the dates from 4th June to 10th June what is the minimum bid i have to start with and how likely i can get the hotel for maximum bidding of $65? If i bid the rest of two nights separately (10th June to 12th June) what should be the minimum amount of bidding?ThnxPaul
thereuare Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 Since the rate jump is on the last 3 nites of your stay, the most likely split would be:6/4-6/96/9-6/12If you split as per the above i'm guessing $65 has a chance... but i'd have a bit more confidence at $75-$80, although we'd of course start low and increase gradually.Regardless of how how you split, be prepared that the last nites will likely be very expensive... close to $200+ in the Downtown area and even $100+ at the airport.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. ekpaul Posted March 20, 2011 Author Report Posted March 20, 2011 Hi, Happy to say that finally it got accepted for $79 at Le Nouvel Hotel, which is quite far from the exact location i wanted though. Do u have any information about this hotel?
thereuare Posted March 20, 2011 Report Posted March 20, 2011 Congratulations on your success... sorry if this isn't in the part of the zone you were hoping for, but hopefully you can make it work fro your needs. This property is located within the Downtown-City Center zone, i assume this is the zone you selected? Is this for your complete stay or only for a subset (6/4/11-6/9/11 ??) of your dates and you still need the remaining nites? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. I need a place for two beds and whatever the star doesnt matters to me.....If this is the weekend that the F1 Grand Prix race is in Montreal chances of getting any hotel room in the city for under $200-$250/night is extremely low! Checking HW for the dates 6/9- 6/12 and the lowest available room in the downtown Montreal area is $224 and it's a 2.5* hotel! Good luck!
