Priceline Hotel: 3.5* DC (Dupont Circle-Woodley Park) Marriott Wardman Park

Ran the gamut with a 4* rating, searching for DuPont Circle-Woodley Park and White House-Downtown areas (did NOT search Convention Center-Capitol Hill). NO LUCK with prices from $80 - $160.

Repeated search using a 3.5* area and finally (using increments of $20) got the Marriott at $160. I am pleased, as it has a Metro stop on the hotel grounds (or at least a stone's throw away).

Happy with my price, especially since this is the peak for Cherry Bloosoms

PS - the Metro system in DC is fantastic, so having a Metro station nearby connects you with anyhwere (except Georgetown) that you want to go

FYI the only airport served directly by the Metro is Reagan Int'l
