Tino Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 For the first time that I can recall, I was unable to get a Priceline car for less than the equivalent cost of a straight-up reservation.I made 8 bids, working my way up to $15/day on a standard and $14/day on a midsize. The comparable retail price for a two-day midsize rental was $17/day from Avis, which also provided a 1/2 Southwest credit (valued at about $10-15).What was funny was that Priceline came back and told me that if I raise my bid to $47/day that I had a "good" chance of my bid being accepted.
AaronJB Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 Sorry to hear that you weren't able to get a bid accepted, but glad you were able to find an alternate deal.Thank you for using the site's PRICELINE link to start your purchases and searches.
